Episode #1: Jim Gaffigan – Stand Up Comic, Actor, Writer, Author

Jim Gaffigan

Jim Gaffigan doesn’t need a lot of introduction. He’s one of America’s funniest and most well-recognized comedians. He’s also been a friend of mine since high school so I have lots of dirt on this clean comic. From high school to show business, Jim talks honestly about life’s ups and downs and the courage it takes to be true to yourself.

Ted!!! Seeing you here made my day! You are one of a handful of professors that’s had a huge impact on my life… and my writing, so thank you for that and for listening and following me. I hope you’re well and enjoying life. Thanks again! Warmest regards…

Awesome interview Mo! It’s fun to hear how someone who seems so comfortable on stage actually struggled with that in the beginning.

I enjoyed you two! Does Marsh gymnasium really have a Hall of Fame?!? That must have happened after I left. (1980- gasp) It was great to hear Jim’s definition of success put in terms like “Coming up with the new material was so rewarding “… how he connected it to the creative process. Also, success described as ‘I get to do what I want’ and balancing, juggling life while working to stay true to priorities. Here’s to the journey. Great hearing about Jim’s evolution away from Finance towards crazy comedy. All that talk about Chicago deep dish, the South Shore and LaLu made me nostalgic 🙂 Thanks Mo and Jim!

      Hi Elaine!

So fun to see you here. Thank you so much for subscribing/listening. It was really fun to talk to Jim after all this time and to catch up on such a personal level. He is still the Jim I knew back in the day—and better, in so many ways! 😘
